As we say goodbye to a prosperous year and look ahead to the future, we are filled with gratefulness for what we have achieved and excitement for what the new year will bring.

2022 was mainly characterized by the actual realization and construction of six residential villas in Wilgenrijk, Maassluis. These six villas will be completed in the coming year, and we will present the results on this site. For a sneak preview see MGM-002.

One of the highlights of 2022 was the opening of the Lely Campus, phase 2, by His Majesty King Willem Alexander at the 30th of June. With the realization of this 2nd phase, the total working area for the office and factory has been doubled from 35.000 square meters. to more than 70.000 square meters for research, development and production. of sustainable and innovative solutions for dairy farming. Like the 1st phase, the building is BREAAM Outstanding certified, placing it once again in the top tier of the most sustainable offices in Europe.

Another, more administrative highlight in 2022 was the final acquirement of the zoning plan for the Equestrum project, enabling the development and realization of a equestrian campus. Therefore, we’re able to start 2023 with the submission of the application for the environmental permit for the renovation and restauration of the State Monumental Farm, so that in mid-2023 Lentiz’s equestrian MBO program can start.

Furthermore in 2022, Converse has been able to strengthened the team with 4 talented international young professional architects and designers. This allows us better to ensure our ability as a high-end design firm to deliver cutting-edge and innovative architecture. On top of that, we have again been able to provide several students a mutually inspiring work experience through internships. In the course of Q1, the results of one of these students graduation study, ‘The Prosperous House’ will be published via ConverseLab.
